eBash Video Game Centers announced today that they are opening a new game center at the location formerly occupied by Net Heads at 1017 W. Main Street in Carmel, Indiana.  eBash will be adding this location to their 2 others in Indiana currently operating in Evansville and Terre Haute, as well as their Illinois store in Charleston.

Founder Zack Johnson is excited not only about expanding into the larger Indianapolis market, but also the opportunities to bring programs from the previous company in Carmel back to their existing markets.  The biggest opportunity is through the CreateAndPlayCamps.com program which is now owned and controlled by eBash.

“The video game design summer camp program is one of the most thrilling things about this recent acquisition,” Johnson stated.  “My 15 year background working with traditional summer camps combined with the unique concept of teaching kids video game design gives us an offering that is not available anywhere else.  Last summer the camp program in Carmel sold out 171 spots.  This year we plan on increasing the size in Carmel and adding the program to  at least our Terre Haute location.”

The benefits of eBash coming to Carmel are bountiful for Indianapolis gamers.  The 39yearold graduate of RoseHulman Institute of Technology continues, “Not only will this purchase bring new opportunities to our existing markets, but we will also bring the excitement of the eBash model to a huge pool of gamers in the Indianapolis area.  No one has been able to sustain the customer base like we have in the 9 years we have been open and our competitive and unique events are what drives that customer loyalty.”

Johnson is referring to the eBash traditions of allnight “lockins” at their stores every Friday and Saturday night as well as their generous programs for local churches, schools, and nonprofit organizations.  On top of that, for the competitive gamers, there is no other comparison to the tournament schedule hosted at eBash locations.  Nothing shows that more than their upcoming event for Call of Duty Black Ops 2 on the Xbox 360.

“We can’t wait to celebrate the opening of the new Carmel location by hosting a multistore tournament on Saturday, March 2nd.  This event will produce for us a championship team in Black Ops 2 and we will be sponsoring them to travel to Dallas, Texas later in March.  Once there, they will wear our eBash jerseys and compete in the MLG (www.mlgpro.com) tournament sponsored by Activision for a chance at winning $1,000,000 in cash!”

About eBash:  eBash was started in 2004 in Terre Haute, Indiana by Zack Johnson after hosting allnight video game parties as the leader of his church’s youth group.  He quickly built the store up to over 100 stations during the next few years and launched their store in Evansville, Indiana

in 2008.  At the end of 2012, eBash opened a store in Charleston, Illinois and launched 2013 with the purchase of a new location in Carmel, Indiana.  Zack was flown to Los Angeles near the end of 2010 to film for the ABC show “Shark Tank” to pitch the eBash concept and has led international video game tournaments such as the World Series of Video Games in 2007.
