CS:GO Latest Update Impressions

In short, we're not big fans of the latest update-- at least not yet. Our biggest complaint is that the Desert Eagle is now a 2 shot kill weapon, nearly from any distance, and regardless of whether or not the opponent has armor. It's literally a handheld scout without the scope.

The changes to recoil were unnecessary-- and the justification hasn't really been clarified. This is one thing, however, that over time you adjust to, and we're sure this will be the case here as well. It's simply dealing with it in the meantime we're not looking forward to.

The pricing changes didn't impact us too much-- though the changes to the pistols sure did. We were big fans of the P250 prior, and the price tag made it seem appealing, but it's no longer the same gun.

Rumor has it there will be another update coming very soon to help fix some of the biggest issues (like the Deagle), and we're very much so looking forward to it. Hopefully there won't be too many more massive changes to the game (unless they're major improvements on things people are actually asking for, like a more effective VAC system), but since CS:GO is still in its relative infancy, it's hard to imagine we won't see a few more major updates before Q3.
